Before Anything, I'm An Artist
I've been painting professionally since age 14, when my father signed me up for fine art classes. My teacher was a wonderful Ukrainian woman who trained me for 5 years in Russian. We covered everything from acrylics, gouache, and oils, to art history, and styles from around the world. By age 20, I hosted three exhibitions. The funny part is that I still think about painting terms in Russian! This isn't just a side skill for me. It's where I come from creatively. Every custom piece I create is rooted in this foundation; the discipline, the technique, the artistic eye developed over the past 15 years.
